Hawk’s Cry Lodge offers teachings and ceremonies from the ancient tradition of the Sweet Medicine SunDance Path

First Gateway ready to go in August

The past few months have shown us how vital and urgent our personal growth and connection to Spirit is.

The Sweet Medicine SunDance teachings and ceremonies are powerful tools which will support you in this time of change so we are determined to go ahead with our First Gateway Program.

We are offering a flexible two part Program with the same intent, teachings and ceremonies.  This will enable us to begin the program this year as planned while caring for ourselves and others.

Part 1 2020 delivered outside – 29/30 August and 26/27 September, plus 12 December on zoom if necessary.

Part 2 2021 provisional dates for 3 weekends in Jan/Feb/March, plus 1 day in June and a ceremonial event in July.

Each 2-day weekend is $300.  Single days are free to registered participants.

We are not asking for a deposit or payment in advance. We are confident that once you begin you will want to continue. AND we need your commitment now so we can get started.

Human-friendly and Covid hostile day of teachings in July

It was unanimous – nature and familiar faces beats zoom any day.  Meeting in person after so many weeks without Purification Lodges or teaching events was great!

Fifteen of us gathered on the land at Hawk’s Cry Lodge for teachings on how to turn every day events into ceremonies.  This was followed by Jeff Hohensee from the Rattlesnake Mystery Lodge sharing his experiences of how to hear Spirit by paying attention to `Medicine Signs’.

The day ended with ceremony: moving around a mesa (altar) holding the Powers of the Four Directions.  Participants were invited to hear their inner wisdom and guidance from Grandmother Earth by connecting to the elements, minerals, plants, animals and humans.

Everyone took care to socially distance and negotiate mask wearing – thanks to all of you for taking responsibility for our shared well-being.  Clean up was smooth and easy, organized by Terry Odendhal, with everyone pitching in.

Thank you everyone for a great day!

Participants sat around a large mesa / altar.
